Mexican Riviera Cruise

We went on the Carnival Mexican Riviera Cruise. Kierstin and Brian came along with us and we left the kids home with their grandparents. The first day we were just so excited to be on the ship. The night before we left, Kierstin and Brian realized they didn't bring their pass ports and they were sitting in there house in Lehi. So after almost $400 to Fed Ex, they had their passports in their hands and made it on the ship. Once we were on the ship, we were quick to eat and head out to the pool. It was fun to, for once, hang out at the ADULTS ONLY pool.
We spent a 2 days at sea, then went to Cabo for a day, to Puerto Vallerta, the back to Cabo since Mazatlan was dangerous with the drug cartel situation. We ate a lot, slept a lot, played a lot, and got a lot of sun.

In Cabo we all kayaked over to lovers beach and snorkeled. We walked into town for some shopping. We found the same taco shop that JB and I ate at last time we were in Los Cabo San Lucas. YUM!

When we got off the ship in Puerto Vallerta, Antonio was the lucky one to find us and take us around town. He was our personal tour guide for the day. He drove us into town to the cathedral, let us peak in an all girls elementary school, the sand sculptures, and to see the native Indians swinging upside down from an enormously high pole. He then drove is to a beautiful beach where we spent some time then walked around the tide poles. He drove us through some amazing residential areas with amazing views of the coastline. On our way back to the ship we stopped at the flee market to to a little shopping. It was a beautiful place. Totally different than I had expected. It was really green with beautiful trees, cobble stone streets, no homeless people or begging children. I wish we had another day in Puerto Vallerta.

When we came home the boys were happy to see us but were having the time of their lives. They had a busy week going to Disneyland, Chuck E Cheese"s, Nickel City, Bounce U, Sports Authority, and squeezing in school and their sports games and practices. It was so nice to know that they were happy while we were gone. It's time to start planning the next trip!
